Watch: Wits to co-host 2024 ICEGOV Conference

10 December 2023

South Africa, through the School of Governance (Wits University) and the National Department of Public Service and Administration will host the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Electronic Governance (ICEGOV) in 2024. This annual UN conference conceived in 2007 brings together academia, governments, international organisations, civil society, and industry to share the latest insights and experiences in the theory and practice of Electronic Governance (now more commonly referred to as Digital Governance). South Africa’s agenda is to implement this as a pan-African hosted convening to focus on the critical digital governance experiences, agendas, pressures and opportunities.

The conference is maintained and coordinated by the United Nations University Operating Unit on Policy-Driven Electronic Governance (UNU-EGOV), headquartered in the city of Guimarães, Portugal. Watch WSG’s Associate Professor Geci Karuri-Sebina make the announcement for Wits University
