Mmakgomo Refiloe Makhutle has 10 years in student administration and coordination. She joined Wits University in 2017, and has worked in three different faculties; the Faculty of Health as a course coordinator under the Graduate Entry Medical Programme (GEMP), the Faculty of Humanities as a faculty coordinator, and now the Faculty of Commerce, Law and Management as a senior programme coordinator at WSG.

Having both experiences at a school and faculty level at the University has strengthened Refiloe’s skills in student relations, administrative processes, and marketing of academic programmes.

She has a Degree in Marketing and Business Management from Damelin Business College. Her postgraduate studies have yielded an Honours Degree in Strategic Management and a Masters in Business Management, both from the University of Johannesburg.

To the workspace, Refiloe brings a collegial and vibrant spirit, she is responsible for the coordination of the Postgraduate Diploma in Public Management (PDPM) and supports the Research office at the School. Her curious nature means she is constantly learning and can offer interesting ideas and support to improve students’ experience at the School.

Refiloe is extremely passionate about education and Wits as a brand and remains a Witsie at heart.
