The Public Ethics Network South Africa
The Public Ethics Network of South Africa (PEN.ZA) includes individuals and institutions deeply concerned with, and actively engaged in, the teaching, research and practice of enhancing and communicating the importance of public ethics in South Africa today. The network is multi-disciplinary and across both academic and practice-oriented spaces. The network is convened out of the Wits School of Governance under the leadership of Associate Professor Christine Hobden. We host a small annual gathering where we convene in person to share innovative teaching methods, current research and emerging trends. We aim to highlight examples from best practice and enrich research through inter-disciplinary collaboration and through this to ignite and enhance our understanding of public ethics in the South African context.
