WATCH: WSG at the JSE for inaugural Corporate Affairs Symposium

The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), together with the Wits School of Governance, Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and other partners hosted the first Corporate Affairs Symposium on 22 October 2024. 

This one-day event highlighted the criticality of the corporate affairs function and explore the strategies and issues Corporate Affairs officials engage with in an ever-changing business landscape.

Over the years, the responsibilities of Corporate Affairs professionals have changed considerably, requiring them to adjust to the distinct challenges and opportunities of a dynamic business environment. This events focussed on the latest trends, best practices and observations in the areas of communication, public relations, public policy, government relations and more.

The WSG and Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership South Africa offers a Leadership Development for Corporate Affairs and Government Relations executive course.

Speaking at the event, sponsored by Sanlam and Santam, Acting Executive Education Director, Raesetsa Hopane said the aim of this executive course is to contribute towards the growth and professionalisation of Corporate Affairs.
