Developing Leadership in Digital Government

This is a practitioner led 4-week course that covers practical implementation of Digital leadership.

The course is targetted at senior management executives in the public service, these are the individuals involved in the strategy formulation, planning and oversight within their organisations.

Target Audience

Director Generals, Head of Departments, CEOs

Outcomes

Conceptual understanding and appreciation of the value of digital transformation.

A toolkit (concepts, frameworks, current regulations) to enable course attendants to champion digital leadership, design digital strategies, lead digitalisation projects, oversee digital transformation strategies, appreciate and champion good ICT governance.

Practical case studies on how other countries are or have leveraged on digital transformation to improve public service delivery and how the experiences can be adopted for the South African context.

Functional understanding and appreciation of the modern technologies in improving efficiency and accelerating service delivery in the public service (service based architectures, AI, Robotics, Cloud Computing, Virtual and Augmented Reality and others under 4IR).

Full appreciation of the Cybersecurity risks in the digital space and available tools to combat these risks.

Disclaimer: Cancellation of programmes by WSG

WSG is entitled to cancel or change the date of delivery of a programme without notice and for any reason without incurring any liability to individuals who have applied or are enrolled on the programme or any funders of such individuals (“participants” or “funders of participants”).

Without derogating from the aforesaid, and insofar as it possible, WSG will provide the participants or funders of the participants with 30 (thirty days) days written notice of any cancellation or changes in the dates of delivery of the programme.

Insofar as the programme is cancelled or rescheduled prior to delivery of the programme then in that event the participants and funders of the participants will not be charged the full programme fees.
