Looking back at 2025

2025 was a landmark year for WSG Executive Education. We successfully bridged academic rigor with real-world relevance through:

  • Global expansion: We solidified partnerships with world-class institutions, including UONGOZI Institute (Tanzania), the University of Zambia, the International Institute of Social Studies (Netherlands), the Graduate School of Public Policy (GraSPP, University of Tokyo), and the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL).
  • International exposure: Our flagship Global Immersion Trips allowed participants to connect with international peers, expanding strategic horizons in global policy environments.
  • Digital accessibility: Through our partnership with Wits Plus, we launched our dedicated website, making the journey from enquiry to registration seamless and student-centric.

Leading in a complex 2026

Across the world, leaders are navigating a "poly-crisis", from the ethical integration of AI and digital transformation to climate resilience and socio-economic inequality. In Africa, the demand for transparent, accountable governance and strong state capacity is the foundation of our developmental trajectory.

WSG recognises its responsibility and remains deeply committed to building state capacity. We do this by equipping current and future leaders with the knowledge, agility, and integrity needed to thrive in this complexity. In 2026, we will introduce executive courses that are global in relevance, designed to move beyond theory, empowering you to lead and manage diverse teams effectively, and drive excellent service delivery.

Our core learning pillars

Our curriculum remains grounded in three vital areas of impact:

  1. Governance and Public Good
  2. Political Economy and Development
  3. Leadership and Management

The WSG Promise: Learn, connect and deliver

Our facilitators, a blend of distinguished academics and high-level practitioners, bring frontline insights into the classroom. We teach and build communities of practice.

We take immense pride in our alumni network. Each year, over 1000 graduates join a global family of leaders who are transforming institutions. When you don the prestigious WSG gown, you are joining a movement for the public good.
